Air gap membrane technology for above grade exterior wall envelopes was first introduced in 2006 by Moisture Management LLC. Our air gap membrane DRYspacer™ is the first of its kind to be installed on the inboard side of the exterior wall sheathing as a mechanism to create a continuous airspace within the wall envelope itself. The purpose of this membrane is to allow for "waterproofing" from the exterior directly beneath the cladding in an effort to seal out all moisture intrusion. It also provides a means for any unwanted condensation to be removed from the cavity.
